Refurbishment at Hampton Lakes

What a difference a lick of paint, some new linens and a professional photographer can make!

This property had been on the market many months and had many viewings.  After we completed this makeover for the home owner, the first viewers to walk through the door made an offer!  We’re happy to say these viewers became the new owners and you can read the full story underneath these ‘before and after’ photos.

This home had been on the market for more than three years when we took over the management of it.  We were recommended to the owner by a real estate broker whom the owners had approached because they were unhappy with the number of bookings they were getting for the home while they waited for a sale.

The owners came to look at a number of the properties we manage and liked the way we maintained them.  They were impressed with the standards of cleanliness, which had been a major source of contention with their previous management company.

It took us a week to deep clean the home.  We realised that it was a lovely home but it was looking a bit tired.  So we approached the owners and suggested that maybe that was why it wasn’t selling.

We had a meeting with the owners where we assessed how the home measured up against the competition and agreed an action plan.

Initially, the owners were skeptical that some paint, a new sofa, and a refresh to the décor could make it saleable.  But because we were able to price the makeover really competitively, the owners agreed to give it a try.

Following the makeover and the new (professionally taken) photographs of the home we had an immediate surge in bookings for the property.

And the best news?  The real estate agent lined up some new sales viewings.  The very first people to walk over the threshold of the restyled home made an offer.  The offer was accepted and the new owners are already enjoying their new property.  Which, we are happy to report, we are continuing to manage and rent for the new owners!
